Leave enough time to make sure that most of the Aluminium content have been dissolved in the acid. It is important that all aluminium is converted to the solid carbonate, and to check that no aluminium salt is still present some further sodium carbonate is added to the filtered solution, and if no precipitate is formed, then no Aluminium is present. The E34 methods are generally more accurate within given alloy concentration ranges. The magnesium is present in the melt because a mixture of scrap, including both cast and wrought alloys, is used for the melt, and the wrought alloys contain magnesium levels that exceed the cast alloy target specification. Oxygen is released at the carbon anodes where it reacts to form CO and CO2 at the expense of the anode material. This set of qualitative tests serves to know: Wether if Al is present What other metal elements are present and hence how to extract Al from them.

Therefore, to explore more in this field, the present book has been aimed and focused to bridge all scientists who are working in this field.
